When our ancestors tamed wolves, dogs became the world's first domesticated animal. They may be "Man's best friend" but do we know their true origin? No, not completely. Researchers have traced their origins back to Asia, suggesting that the first dogs appeared in the region near Napal.
Being a dog owner myself, the comparisons between wolves and dogs are always fascinating to me. The amount of similarities you see between them are so surprising and unexpected. For this illustration, it was an exercise in patience to get the direction of the fur correct and not have it fall flat.
